Is this a replacement for QuickBooks?
No. If you have payroll, inventory, or your accountant requires a specific platform, use QuickBooks. Operaite Accounting is for the owner who currently tracks income and expenses in a notes app or a spreadsheet.
Does it connect to my bank?
Not currently — entries are added manually or imported from a CSV. Bank integration via Plaid is on the roadmap.
How does the income/expense tracker categorize entries?
Income: Sales, Services, Consulting, Refund, Other. Expenses: Supplies, Rent, Utilities, Marketing, Payroll, Software, Equipment, Travel, Taxes, Other.
What about multiple currencies?
All amounts display in your business profile's currency (15 supported). The system doesn't do live FX conversion.
Can I export for my accountant?
Yes — CSV export of all entries with dates, categories, and amounts.
Is this a free tool or paid?
Accounting is part of the paid Operaite app ($29/mo, 7-day free trial). Unlimited entries.
